My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Island Sand so very very much!!! The view and the turtles were AMAZING!!! Being close to the harbor and a BEAUTIFUL beach that went for miles was also a plus…. It was quiet, friendly, very comfortable and I would definitely go back
This is such an excellent place to stay in Maui! Apartment we rented was immaculate. Everything worked, every essential was there. The property is professionally managed, exceptionally clean, with beautiful landscaping, gorgeous koi pond in the lobby and a sparkling heated pool. Very quiet, peaceful, away from crowds and with gorgeous ocean views, next to Marina and Aquarium. Everyone who works here is friendly and helpful, making sure your stay is comfortable. All the cookware is in great shape, washer/dryer combo is functioning great, TV in every room, excellent quality internet, every little detail is taken care of. Wonderful experience! Thank you for the great place!
This was our second time staying here. It’s such a perfect, centrally located location. Our first time we got a budget studio room facing inwards toward the hill. This second visit we had room 216 with the balcony almost overlooking the Ma’alea Bay. We saw humpback whales every day! Sunrises were amazing as the sun peaked over Haleakala. There’s turtles and snorkeling right here. The pool is great, the room was perfect. The harbor with restaurants, the aquarium, and shops are a short walk away. We saw dozens of sea turtles off the harbor sea wall. What an amazing place!
Dated building, but well kept and looked after. Not the cup of tea for the modern resort people, but an outstanding experience for the rest of the population that want a relaxing cozy place in a great spot on the island with a breathtaking view. We saw an abundant amount of sea turtles, whales, and dolphins within the first day of our stay.
We stayed in unit 500. It was very nice with a great views of the ocean. I recommend February as a perfect month to visit as whales inhabit the bay outside and you can regularly see them, jumping, splashing their tails, etc..
We stayed in Island Sands with our family for 10 days. The condo was very nice and had a view off our lanai of the ocean. It is in a location that is easy to get to the majority of things to do and see in Maui. Was nice to have an assigned parking space and beach towels, beach chairs, cooler, boogie board in the condo to use was fantastic. We all loved our stay here! There were kind enough to let us have a late check out which was extremely helpful. We were a family of five adults and it accomadated us fine. The sofa bed was not very comfortable for an adult needed a pad on top. ALOHA
Great location and views. You are near Kihei or Lahaina. You can walk to restaurants and Ma'alaea Bay for whale tours.
This place is a quiet gem. Views are amazing. Our condo was clean and had everything we needed. I did not want to leave.
